In 2015 at 19 she released her single here. This single received high praise equally from critics and listeners. The single peaked at 19th among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track among the 2015's Top Songs. That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that reached the heights of Billboard charts, including the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track is special as, due to her Rap-Up interview she conducted, many of people who listened to her music could relate to her experience in learning to love themselves and doubting her. Cara is known for including the themes of mental health and kindness and self-love into her tracks. The inspiration for her music is her own personal experience as she suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. In a conversation with Reuters the magazine, she said that her album was "half tumultuous" as well as "half finished". She says that she developed through therapy, and urges those around her to seek assistance as needed. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996 of Italian parentage. She was given a guitar by her parents before she reached the age of 10, and that sparked her love for music. A few years later, at 13 years old, she began covering her favorite songs using YouTube an important media platform to show the world that she was gifted as well as the courage to make it the next singer. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her famous. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and record her own tracks.
